Wow! You guys were FAST! There is almost nothing left on the site. I added the last of the goodies last night. Once they are gone...that's all.
I was actually having fun packaging things up. It made me happy that so many of my best customers got lots of goodies for a great price.
I took down the necklace sections since most of them were empty anyway. So now when you click on handmade necklace you see all we got.

If you are on my email list then you already know the sad news. I announced earlier this morning that I will be closing Sharma Designs.
This has been such a hard decision for me. I love Sharma Designs and I have worked so very hard to get it to where it is today. When I started out 4 years ago I was so green. I knew nothing about search engines and marketing. I think I scanned my jewelry on a scanner. I had designed my own little website. I have learned so much over the years. It seems like such a waste to leave it all behind.
Until I remember why I want to close shop. See..I have a toddler and a baby on the way and I have been married less than a year. I feel that it is just not fair to my family to put so much energy into Sharma Designs. I am an all or nothing kind of girl and as much as I would love to just scale back or keep myself to a minimum amount of hours I know that it's just not in me.
So..I am closing. I feel such peace with my decision. And of course I'm sad. I will miss running a small business (although I do have Rare Bird to keep me busy - and it does!). I will miss checking my email every few minutes. I'll miss the constant search for a new place to advertise. And of course I will miss making tons of jewelry. I will still make some. Just not tons. I will however be spending alot more time with my family and actually getting a good nights sleep. And I think the trade off is well worth it.

So I have a confession to make..... I am enjoying a few weeks off from Sharma Designs. Christmas was so crazy this year and then right when it settled down I had to finish my Christmas shopping and then we had relatives in town and then we flew to Washington over New Years weekend. Phew!
I decided to take a few weeks and just relax. My house is clean (finally), my suitcases unpacked and my daughter's birthday is planned. I feel very accomplished.
And just to add another fun element to the mix I am a few weeks pregnant and in the very very tired stage. I absolutely cannot keep my eyes open past 10:00pm. This has been really hard for me as I get most of my work done at night. This last week I started getting my "morning" sickness at night too. So by the time I settle Bells down for the night I am just exhausted and I just want to lay on the couch and watch tv.
So be patient with me. I have a few things that are not up on the website yet and I will try to post them soon. I at least wanted to check in and let you guys know what was going on.
