Whew! What a weekend. I drove down to Costa Mesa Friday morning. I got there around 4:00 and headed out to set up for my jewelry party at 6:00. The home party was a great success. There was lots of people, lots of food and of course, plenty of jewelry. I got to see some friends that I haven't seen in awhile too. That's always fun. You will notice that things are starting to look a little bare on the website. Those ladies were there to shop! Thanks to Marsha for throwing such a sucessful party. She earned a few necklaces too(including the bold shell mosaic necklace that everyone has been drooling over) so she was one happy hostess.
After packing up the show I got back to my sister's around 11:00. We stayed up for hours talking. We knew we both had an early morning but we had to catch up! Our early morning started at 5:30am. My sister very generously got up with me to help me go get my display ready even though she was in a wedding later that day. Thank god she was there! I couldn't have done it without her.
The Saturday show was not very sucessful. I was not in a good spot as you can see by the pictures. There were these huge signs hovering over my little table and blocking the sun from my display. It's funny because the rules CLEARLY stated that there were to be no props. hmmm. Yes the organizers will be getting a complaint letter from me.
On a positive note, I did get a ton of compliments on my jewelry. I heard "wow you really are an artist, You're jewelry is so unique, and What funky jewelry" I also got many many compliments on my display. Including many people wanting to buy the little mannequinns. Thanks Carrie for all your tips and help with my display! Here is a pic of my sister and I before the event started:

A couple of the people at the event looked at my sign with my Sharma girl on it and said, "Oh it's you!" Too funny. When Carrie made my logo it didn't really look like me but I guess it kinda does now. I never even thought about it before.
After the show ended at 3:00 I packed everything up and drove straight home. It took me about 6.5 hours. I was exhausted but happy to be in my own bed and even happier to see my munchkin. I missed her.
So that was my weekend! I will be busy this week trying to make more jewelry and get ready for the next show!
Have a great Monday!
