So many people have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. It breaks my heart to watch the news. I am doing what I can to help by donating to Crafters United. You can help by making a donation or by buying something handmade by some really cool crafty ladies on Etsy. All procedes will go to the Red Cross Hurricane relief fund.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was affected by this disaster.

Lastly...I have marked down select items anywhere from 20-50% off. Lots of summerish earrings. I needed to make room for the new jewelry. If you see something you want snap it up right away though because necklaces are one of a kind and earrings are very limited edition.

10 YEARS AGO TODAY: AUGUST 27, 1995
I was just a wee thing with no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I had just finished my first year at junior college and was more interested in the going out scene than the school scene. I think I was working at Wet Seal.
5 YEARS AGO TODAY: AUGUST 27, 2000
I had a very demanding job and worked about 60 hours a week. I had no time for fun but oh the shopping sprees! I use to get up at the crack of dawn and get to work before it was light. Then I would come home when it was dark. I remember crying alot because I was so tired and stressed. I am very glad I am not doing that anymore! My jewelry making adventure had just begun and I was making all kinds of bracelets.
1 YEAR AGO TODAY: AUGUST 26, 2005
I was 5 months pregnant with my little girl. I was just barely showing and really just looked fat. In fact, one lady was so rude as to ask me if I was sure that I was pregnant or was I just gaining weight. Some people... We had also just confirmed that she was a girl. I had had a feeling she was.
YESTERDAY: AUGUST 26, 2005
Bella and I were picking up lunch on the way to work and some guy said "your daughter needs to learn to walk. Look at those thunder thighs!" Later, "Wow, you must be strong. Do you have back problems because of her?" She is a baby for heaven's sake. It is the only time in a girl's life that she doesn't need to worry about their thunder thighs. Geez!
TOMORROW: AUGUST 28, 2005
Relax! Tomorrow night we are going to hang out at music in the park. Should be fun!

It is like a virtual vacation. Some places have more detail than others. For example, you can't get to close to Africa without it getting pretty blurry. I hear the Grand Canyon is amazing though. I haven't looked at it yet.
I warn you not to download it if you don't have any extra time (like me). I know, I know, you think it seems kinda nerdy and you won't be that into it. That's what I said too. I totally got sucked in...
Here is one of my favorite google pictures..
She squeels, she scoots, she hits, she scratches, she claws, she bites, she whines, she wants, she gets, and as you can see by this picture she has a pretty convincing devilish grin. She can also lure me away from the task at hand by throwing a sweet little smile in my direction. I can't resist her.
I thought I was busy before I had the little munch. I was so wrong. I absolutely adore every chubby little roll on my daughter and can't imagine life without her but she is quite a handful. She has been tricking me for the last 7 months by acting all mellow and sweet. It seems like overnight she has transformed into a busy little terror who is into EVERYTHING. I dread the day she can really crawl and then ..gasp..walk.
Despite her very best efforts I was able to finish adding all the new jewelry this weekend. I am still working on the earring pictures but the rest is done. Now I can get back to the fun stuff...designing.
In the meantime here are a few more new things:
I like the way the light shows through the beads on the old pics (the ones currently on the site) but the new pictures are much better overall I think.
